Trainings structure

At the beginning
The Lurian University & Research Institute Association (LURIA) is part of the Center for Lurian Kabbalah and its education programme by way of Students and by way of the website: www.kabbalah-arizal.eu

We have the tendency to provide the training for Bachelor and Master in Kabbalistic just as the offering for scientists trained "Teacher in Kabbalistic", beside the scientists' education in a wide context concerning the examination of Kabbalah, connected with the development and promoting of Kabbalistic as a new university science. Last named education has a degree in 'Doctor of Philosophy in Kabbalistic" as final. Both educations have for quite a long time study material, as we can prove.

Cabbalist Michael Portnaar, PhD will be the first professor in Kabbalistic (professorate Lurian Kabbalah) and he will be responsible for the general process: the tenor of the education and research at the LURIA academic and (for now) he will be the principal of the organization and in this leads the organization till there is a replacement for this task.

Which education will be first?
First of all it is very important that we start with the general schooling in the first 'foundation' course for them who are already motivated and learning at the teacher training of the CLK. Considering the teacher education there are some questions: "What is meant in this stage with "Teacher basic training in Kabbalistic?"

In this early stage a Teacher has to be someone who is capable to give good lesson and direction to them who are interested in his or her dominion or surrounding, than thinking at a well-trained scientist in Kabbalistic, who can do a lot after his graduation. Considering all of this brought me to the idea of a good tutor, a co-operator who has the task of the organization and leading of a local workgroup in Kabbalah, so a Tutor training is important to fill in the necessities for this task. This will be a stage between the teacher in basic training and the professor in the scientist training. This step fulfils the necessity needed at this moment.

While studying the regulations of the Association at Promotions of Knowledge in Kabbalah leads us to the Lurian University & Research Institute, as named in the objective, although the name is not the same (the 'open university for studies of Kabbalah") but this isn't relevant. In these regulations we can also reed:

Art. 2:b. The goal of association consists of the dissemination of the knowledge and implementation of the wisdom of Kabbalah in the Netherlands and we have now expanded to the rest of Europe and beyond its' borders, for the benefit of all humanity and each individual in particular, through the transmission of knowledge in the broadest sense of the word. The purpose is to unify the spiritual and material worlds, thanks to which it becomes possible to live in both worlds and absolute, eternal perfection of knowledge and fulfillments of desires".

Art. 2: c. The promotion of the training of the Kabbalah as a practical science and to live, according what is learned in daily life, to verify personal by the student him self so the student will be contributive in the same time at the grow of Kabbalah and investigation;

Art. 2: d. The organization and the maintenance of the research institute for the scientific and theoretical research of Kabbalah, as well the low access for all social and ideological movements

The conclusion is: there is no new start; we want to achieve the aim with the foundation of LURIA. The University can as well provide the both lower trainings - general schooling and the tutor training and at the same time to be a hall for the academic studies at the Lurian University and her higher educations.

The LURIA provides for everyone virtual education, supported by a sequence of meetings in workgroups and regular seminars, which will be announced by way of an agenda at the beginning (September) of the year at the students. These supportive activities are not obligated. Every student who follows the virtual education can receive the certificate at the end of the training by doing the necessarily exams, and pass them, by way of the computer. The certificating will be discussed later.

In a way LURIA can be a virtual trainings institute by day/evening study. In this way we welcome the new communication of Internet and the possibilities provided to this new way of communication. Meaning: the communication by and by between the LURIA and everything what is to surf at the net considering the information of Kabbalah. Surfing the net gives a lot of useful material, which will be restored in a database and will be provided for the students, in a way a virtual library with URL's and other important material, all of interest for our study of Kabbalah at all levels.

There will be no committee in what kind of way, this to prevent bureaucracy. We want to be free of favouritism and any kind of circles of friends. In this we have to be very steadfast: LURIA has to be very profitable with a high efficiency so we want to have the least personal. Many tasks will be preformed free by students, as we already do in the most situation of our present organization, whereby the work was, is and will be done by our students at a free base. Naturally we have costs, we can't prevent them.

The material for the training will be provided as we already have said, by way of lecture and virtual. The didactics and the teaching method are adjusted for this way of studying.
The tutoring will be in the rule a virtual tutoring (namely for students from other European Countries) and will be in a one-to-one structure by way of e-mail or msn-chat. We can't disclose group tutoring; in a next phase this can be a part of the task.
Tests however are necessarily in the education. If we want to know if we have reached the student with our study material and if we have her or his interest in the Kabbalah, for this we need to test. The test has to give us insight and knowledge of the Kabbalah, but the main point is to see if the student can live with and from the Kabbalah, because this is the reason for the practical education. The test will be of several tasks at the end of every part of a training programme and will be closed with a final form of examination. It may be a little formal, but not only we; also the student can see at the end of a schedule if he/she has grown. For the student it is also an affirmation if he/she has reached a new level and can continue with the next phase. This brings us to the last element.

Certification. For us we see a system with upgraded qualification. The basic training will exist out of four certificates - level 1 to 4. These four certificates can be changed for the final certificate in "The foundation in Kabbalistic". This opens the way to new diverse training that will be organized directly afterwards.
In principle the entrance to the tutor training is certificate bounded. The certificate "Tutor in Kabbalistic" can be used as a necessarily component for the Dutch language and for the European student at LURIA. This will be integrated in the entrance of examinations of LURIA.

In you may be the longing for Kabbalah and the wish to study the Kabbalah but this doesn't mean that you are suitable to be a tutor or teacher. This needs more than only the interest for Kabbalah. We have the outmost obligation at the Creator, the Kabbalah and her great Masters to practice the ultimate carefulness in the education and the teaching of the Kabbalah in every way. From this point of view we present you several trainings structures and possibilities. Take your time and be receivable. Even these introductions have the status of a concept, but they are composed with the outmost carefulness.
